20-Year-Old David Justus Dies Following Lake House Brawl

A 20-year-old man, David Michael Justus, has died following a large brawl at a lake house party in Llano County, Texas. The fight, which involved around 30 individuals, resulted in fatal injuries for Justus, who passed away on July 23rd.

Brutal Assault

"David Justus sustained numerous traumatic injuries during a senseless and brutal assault," said Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn. Ryan Moore and Francisco Reyes, both 19, have been arrested and charged with manslaughter, and warrants are out for a third individual. Blackburn expects more arrests as the investigation continues.

Party Gone Wrong

The incident occurred on July 14th when a large group of teens and young adults arrived at a Kingsland home for a party. A dispute over a beer can led to a brawl, and Justus was severely beaten, hitting his head on concrete.

Tragic Loss

Justus, a 2023 graduate of Lake Travis High School, was known for his passionate and magnetic personality. He was an avid sports enthusiast, involved with the Lake Travis Youth Association, and was loved by many. He is survived by his parents, Dave and Daya, his brother, Dawson, and his girlfriend, Saylor Davis, for whom he "would have done anything."
