Barbie's "Dream Besties" Bring New Aspirational Dolls to Life

Beginning Tuesday, fans can watch music videos and a new series about Barbie's "Dream Besties" on Apple Music or YouTube. The series, starring two new dolls, "Malibu" and "Brooklyn," shares their stories, passions, and dreams.

"At Barbie, our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation, and the Barbie Dream Besties are a vibrant, trendy testament to that commitment," said Krista Berger, senior vice president of Barbie and global head of dolls at Mattel. "Developed specifically for older kids, Dream Besties encourages kids to embrace their individuality and share their unique talents with the world – from cooking to choreography to cosmetology and more.”

Meet the Dream Besties:

- Makeup Mogul: "Malibu" Roberts, 17, from Willows, Wisconsin. A "spirited" teen with a passion for makeup, she dreams of becoming the CEO of her own brand.

- Music and Dance Lover: "Brooklyn" Roberts, 17, from Brooklyn, New York. A "dynamic" teen who expresses herself through dance and aspires to be a choreographer. She's recognized for her motto, “You Are Loved" ("YAL").

- Cooking Protegé: Renee Chao, 17, from Malibu, California. A "vibrant" teen with a dream to host a food and travel show. She's known for her charismatic attitude and her vlog, "sKATE,” combines food, skateboarding, and humor.

Each doll comes with themed accessories and is priced at $19.99, suitable for children aged 4+. You can purchase them from the Mattel Shop, Walmart, Amazon, or Target.
