Austin PD Seek Hit-and-Run Driver After Pedestrian Killed

Austing, TX: The Austin Police Department is appealing for information to identify and locate a driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in South Austin and fled the scene in the early hours of Tuesday.

Anyone with information can contact the Austin Police Department's vehicular homicide unit.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of West William Cannon Drive at approximately 1 a.m., where they found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle and required hospitalization. The victim sadly succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The driver did not remain at the scene and has not been identified. No further details about the pedestrian have been released by officials.
