Tips to Stay Cool:

  • Shut out the Heat: Keep doors and windows closed to prevent warm outside air from getting in.
  • Keep it Running: Contrary to popular belief, it's more energy-efficient to let your AC run all day than to turn it on and off.
  • Wise Thermostat Placement: Avoid placing thermostats near heat sources or direct sunlight for accurate temperature readings.
  • Return Vents Matter: Ensure every room has a return air vent for even cooling throughout your home.
  • Straight Ducts: Avoid bends in ductwork to prevent airflow restrictions.
  • Close Unused Doors: No need to cool unused rooms; shut the door and focus the cooling where it's needed.
  • Supply Vent Placement: Keep supply vents away from windows for optimal efficiency.
  • Go Solar: Explore solar-powered AC for a sustainable, energy-efficient option.
