Halloween Haunts: Spirit Stores Emerge

Spirit Halloween is returning early. Over 1,500 of their U.S. stores will be open by August 1. Get spooked: shop decorations and costumes.

Get your ghosts and ghouls ready — Spirit Halloween is back.

The flagship store opens its doors Thursday in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, marking the official start of the spooky season. Over 1,500 locations across the US will follow throughout the month, much to the excitement of shoppers, as over half of Americans decorate their homes for Halloween.

When: Flagship opens Aug 1, with other locations rolling out over the next few weeks.

Where: Find your nearest Spirit Halloween store or shop online at Spirit Halloween's website.

What: Towering animatronics like the 9ft Tallulah the Witch ($329.99) and the orange LED-lit Cremator ($199.99) are sure to spook.

Spirit Halloween, owned by Spencer Gifts, has been a seasonal staple since its first pop-up in 1983, growing to over 1,500 locations and a year-round online presence.
