Conn's HomePlus #, a large home goods retailer, has announced it is closing all its stores. This comes after initial reports last week of partial closures and the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.

Over 170 stores across 15 states will close, impacting more than 4,000 jobs. The closures include:

  • Texas: 74 stores
  • Florida: 20 stores
  • North Carolina: 12 stores, and
  • Louisiana: 11 stores

The full list of store closures can be found here.

Conn's HomePlus blames its demise on a net loss of nearly $77 million in 2023 and a 7.8% decrease in yearly revenue, as reported in its April earnings call.

The human impact: "We regret the impact [the closures] will have on our team members, customers, and communities." - Conn's HomePlus.
