Harris to Tour Battleground States with VP Pick

USA TODAY reports that Kamala Harris is expected to tour battleground states with her choice for vice president as soon as next week, with a planned announcement by August 7.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has emerged as the frontrunner in the betting market for the Democratic VP nomination. The 51-year-old Democrat has led the odds since Harris became the presumptive presidential nominee.

"Shapiro was neck and neck with Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly and has fended off charges from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Kentucky Gov. Andrew Beshear."
