Kamala Harris is a US citizen with both Indian and Jamaican heritage by way of her parents.

President Biden has dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, throwing his support behind VP Kamala Harris. Harris, the first Black and South Asian woman VP, has gained endorsements from heavyweights like the Clintons.

At a recent interview, Trump falsely claimed Harris didn't pass the California bar exam and questioned her heritage, saying:"I didn't know she was Black until ... she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black,"Trump.

Harris, born in Oakland to an Indian mother and Jamaican father, is a US citizen. She appeals to Black leaders and voters, having attended Howard University and been a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
