Cops kill 'indiscriminate' shooter

The Bastrop County sheriff's office withheld the identity of an "indiscriminate shooter."

Bastrop, TX – Bastrop County sheriff's deputies responded to an emergency call on Saturday night about an individual "indiscriminately shooting" east of Bastrop. The shooter fired at deputies, who returned fire, killing the suspect.

Per a Facebook post by the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office:

"At approximately 8:48 p.m., Bastrop County sheriff's office deputies were dispatched to an area east of Bastrop in response to a call about a person shooting indiscriminately. When deputies arrived, the suspect began shooting at them. A SWAT team was called to the scene, and the suspect was shot and killed by SWAT deputies. No deputies were injured in the incident."

The sheriff's office has stated that no further information will be released due to the pending investigation.
