Texas Heat Wave: No Relief in Sight as Farmers' Almanac Predicts Warm Fall
With record-high temperatures, Texas is bracing for an unseasonably warm autumn, according to the Farmers' Almanac [1]****:
"...a warmer-than-normal autumn... especially in the western half of the United States!"
The almanac, with a history since 1818, forecasts above-average temps for most of Texas, excluding Far West Texas and the Panhandle. Thankfully, the region is also expected to receive high precipitation, a much-needed reprieve or a pressure cooker? The National Weather Service [2] echoes this, predicting higher temps, but average precipitation.
On Labor Day, Texans can expect sun in the north and storms in the south.
Accuracy? The almanac claims 80%-85% accuracy, and it was right about Texas' "sizzling" summer.
