Trump's Racial Remarks: Offensive and Untrue

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately 14 million Americans who identify as Black also acknowledge mixed heritage. This is a significant portion of our population, and their experiences deserve acknowledgement and respect.

We are adoptive parents of a mixed-race daughter, who has continued our family's legacy with her own daughter and granddaughter. So, when we heard Donald Trump's remarks about Kamala Harris, we were outraged.

Harris has proudly embraced her Indian and Black Jamaican heritage throughout her life. Trump's shameful attempt to discredit her racial identity is a desperate ploy to stir up his base of racists, white nationalists, and other bigots.

Trump seems ashamed of his own policies and instead resorts to racial and ethnic prejudice to rally his supporters. As Americans, we should vehemently reject his divisive tactics.
