Kamala Harris Launches "Republicans for Harris"

Kamala Harris's campaign launched "Republicans for Harris" on Sunday, a "campaign within a campaign" aimed at wooing GOP voters skeptical of Trump. The strategy, called a "permission structure," will use Republic backers to network GOP support, targeting primary voters who backed Nikki Haley. Events are planned in Arizona, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

"[Trump’s] extremism is toxic to the millions of Republicans who no longer believe the party of Donald Trump represents their values," said Austin Weatherford, Harris' national director of Republican outreach.

The campaign will "earn the vote of Republicans who believe in putting country over party," said Weatherford, who also endorsed Harris himself, stating:

"I know Vice President Harris will defend our democracy and ensure Donald Trump never returns to the White House."

Republicans Endorsing Harris:

• Former VP Pence's ex-advisor, Olivia Troye, encouraged him to endorse, citing Harris' defense of "individual liberties and freedoms." the Hill
