Kamala Harris, the current vice president and 2024 presidential candidate, has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Walz, 60, brings political mastery, appeal beyond urban centers, and a progressive yet patriotic attitude.

Walz's comment about the Republican ticket of Trump and Vance garnered him viral attention. A poll in May showed Walz with a 53% approval rating in Minnesota. The date for the VP debate is TBD, but it will be between Walz and Vance, Trump's running mate chosen after an assassination attempt.
Harris' other VP candidates included Buttigieg, Shapiro, Kelly, Pritzker, and Beshear.
