Ohio Dispensaries Open Their Doors to Recreational Marijuana Sales

Ohio residents can now purchase recreational marijuana as of Tuesday. This move comes after the legalization of recreational use in the state last year, with many residents expressing their enthusiasm for the change.

So, we got people calling and verifying, we got people checking our hours. Phone's been off the hook all day. We're excited for the morning. We've been staffing, training, and purchasing a lot too so we're definitely not going to run out. - Zach Gergich, Nectar Dispensary manager, to WTOL https://www.wtol.com/article/news/politics/marijuana-legalization/recreational-marijuana-legal-sold-ohio-dispensaries/512-a345269f-2a23-4d96-9605-0a0493155500

  • New Mexico, New York, and Virginia (2021)
  • Arizona, Montana, and New Jersey (2020)
  • And more...

A Positive Step Forward:

Residents are excited, with Melissa Nickel of Toledo telling WTOL, "It's just a great step forward...It's great for people to have access to things that make them feel better physically, mentally, emotionally. Or, you know, just have a good time."
