There have been no arrests made yet for the fatal shooting of a juvenile male in Hays County on Monday.

No arrests made in "suspicious death" of juvenile male in Hays County

No suspects or motive identified as authorities investigate shooting death of minor.

In a press briefing Monday, the Hays County Sheriff's Office stated that no arrests have been made in connection with the "suspicious death" of a juvenile male in a Buda, TX subdivision.

"Authorities received a 911 call reporting a shooting... Deputies arrived and found the victim deceased from a gunshot wound." - Hays County Deputy Alyssa Davenport

The incident occurred in the 800 block of Shadow Creek Boulevard, with deputies arriving on scene at approximately 5:15 p.m., placing the subdivision on lockdown for nearly two hours.

The victim's identity and age are being withheld, and no suspect descriptions are available at this time. Davenport assured the public there is believed to be no general threat, and encouraged anyone with information to contact the Hays County Sheriff's Office at 512-393-7800.
