Texas native Valarie Allman has her eyes on two prizes at the 2024 Paris Olympics: gold and BBQ. With her first throw of 69.50 meters, she secured gold in discus and a post-win celebration at Terry Black's BBQ.

I’m so excited to get back. I’m going to Terry Black’s to celebrate and eat a pound of brisket. I can’t wait to go all out there. Allman, post-win

Even before Allman's win, Texas athletes had won over 35 medals, per NBC, with the University of Texas producing gold medalists for the last 11 consecutive games.

Allman, a volunteer assistant coach with the Longhorns, is ready for her Texas BBQ celebration. Terry Black's eagerly responded via social media: "We're honored and can't wait to celebrate with you!"
