The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday's drawing has climbed to a staggering $405 million. Will anyone win the big prize, or will it roll over again?

If there's a lucky winner, they could choose a lump-sum option of $197.7 million. To play, purchase a ticket from your local convenience store, gas station, or grocery store. In select states, you can even buy tickets online! Then, pick six numbers: five white balls (1-70) and the gold Mega Ball (1-25). Or, go for a random "Quick Pick" or "Easy Pick."

For an extra dollar, add the "Megaplier" option to multiply non-grand prize winnings. There are 15 Megaplier balls, ranging from 2X to 5X:

  • 2X: five balls
  • 3X: six balls
  • 4X: three balls
  • 5X: one ball
