Baby Formula Recall: Vitamin D Overdose.

Perrigo Co. announced that 16,500 cans of its milk-based powder formula contain unsafe levels of Vitamin D. The affected products were shipped to CVS and H-E-B.

FDA Issues Warning: Elevated Vitamin D Levels in Baby Formula May Pose Health Risks to Infants

Thousands of cans of baby formula recalled from CVS and H-E-B in 12 states. The recall is due to potentially high vitamin D levels, which may sicken young children.

Perrigo Company, the world's largest manufacturer of OTC self-care products and supplier of infant formulas, is recalling its Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder.

  • T11LMXC: Nov. 11, 2025
  • T09LMXC: Nov. 9, 2025

Affected States:

  • Florida
  • California
  • South Carolina
  • Virginia
  • Indiana
  • Tennessee
  • New Jersey
  • Michigan
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Missouri

No reports of formula sickening babies. The FDA states that short-term consumption is unlikely to cause health issues for most infants but could cause complications for those with impaired renal function.
