A California teacher, Elaine Salmon, stumbled upon an unexpected visitor while setting up her classroom for the new school year: a young, curious bear.

"He’s not scared at all..." – Ian Sawrey

Salmon's video shows the unexpected guest wandering the empty classroom at Pine Mountain Club school, sniffing for a snack or the best seat. The bear shows no fear as it curiously inspects the room, even approaching the couple standing behind the window, putting its paws on the glass.

The "eager student" attempted an escape through a closed window but was successfully herded towards an open door, running off into the woods past a playground.

"We could tell it was a younger bear but still surprised by the lack of fear it had," Salmon's husband, Ian Sawrey, told Storyful.
