Kamala Harris set to make history as first Black woman and Asian American presidential nominee at DNC

Less than a month after becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee, VP Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are set to appear at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Harris will be the first Black woman and Asian American to head a major party ticket.

Harris' campaign has seen a booming start: she received President Biden's endorsement within 30 minutes of him dropping out, quickly gained overwhelming party support, and raised over $300 million with rallies attracting crowds of 10,000+ people. Harris and Walz also embarked on a multi-state blitz, holding events in PA, WI, MI, and AZ.
