Albuquerque woman Leticia Castillo's body was found under Twin Overlooks, adding to the park's grisly week with three deaths now.

Body of Missing Woman Recovered, Marking Third Death in Grand Canyon in a Week

Officials have recovered the body of Leticia A. Castillo, a 20-year-old from Albuquerque, New Mexico, below Twin Overlooks along Desert View Drive inside the Grand Canyon National Park.

Park rangers found Castillo's body 150 feet below the rim. Since July 31st, two other bodies have been recovered in the park: Justin Guthrie, who died attempting a BASE jump, and Abel Joseph Mejia, who fell 400 feet to his death. The medical examiner's office will determine the official cause and manner of Castillo's death, with all three cases remaining under investigation.
