Salon Owner Feels "Violated" After Secret Service Tapes Over Her Security Camera During VP Harris' Visit

A Massachusetts salon owner, Alicia Powers, says her security footage shows a Secret Service agent taping over her outdoor security camera while other officials entered her salon without permission during an event for VP Kamala Harris. Powers told Business Insider she kept her business closed but later found footage of officials using her bathroom and counter while alarms blared. Powers felt "violated" and said the USSS apologized. USSS spokesperson Melissa McKenzie confirmed the woman in the video was an agent but denied she accessed the salon, though admitted they've since communicated with Powers. Spectrum News 1 Worcester and USA TODAY reached out to Powers for comment.
