Austin Police ID Pedestrian Killed in Tarrytown Crash; 2nd Pedestrian Hospitalized

AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department has identified Allison Baker, 65, who died after being struck by a driver in Tarrytown last week.

"Two pedestrians were struck by the driver at the intersection of Hillview Road and Greenlee Drive in West Austin shortly after 8:30 a.m. Thursday." - Austin Police Department

Baker was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation; they were not injured or impaired, per the police statement.

No information has been released on whether the driver faces any charges in connection with the crash, which marks Austin's 51st fatal crash of 2024, resulting in a total of 54 crash-related fatalities so far this year.
