Mega Millions jackpot reaches $435 million, second-largest of the year

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's drawing has increased to $435 million (https://www.megamillions.com/), making it the second-largest jackpot of 2024. The winning numbers will be announced after 11 p.m. ET, and a lucky winner could take home a lump-sum payment of $213.9 million after taxes, per the lottery.
