Texas Children Hospitalized After Being Ejected from Vehicle in Major Crash

Two Texas toddlers, ages 1 and 4, are hospitalized after being ejected from their father's Jeep on Interstate 10 East south of Houston. A viral video shows the children, dressed only in diapers, walking on the freeway after the crash. The upside-down Jeep is seen in the background.

'I thought they were dead'

Witnesses were shocked by the severity of the crash. Victor Cordova told ABC13:

"I thought they actually passed away. I thought they were dead."

Neither child was restrained in the vehicle, and the father could face criminal charges, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is ongoing.

"For parents, for everybody... awareness. To make sure you secure your kids properly," Cordova said.

Identities and conditions unknown: As of Wednesday, the children's and their father's identities are unknown. The driver of the other vehicle is believed to be uninjured. The toddlers' conditions are also unknown.
