Trinity Center Offers Relief from Texas Heat
As Texas temperatures soar, the Trinity Center opens its doors to provide a lifeline for unhoused individuals.
The Trinity Center Inclement Weather Cooling Center Pilot Project is a joint effort with the city of Austin and its Homeless Strategies Office.
Location:
The cooling center is located inside St. David’s Episcopal Church, 304 E. Seventh St, Austin.
Hours and Duration:
Open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., until September 30. Offering refuge to 60 individuals at a time.
How to Help:
The center needs volunteers and donations. Contact Manuela Arango, volunteer coordinator, at manuela.a@trinitycenteraustin.org or (512) 610-3553. Donations of hot-weather clothing, supplies, food and water are also needed.
