Fortnite is down, marking the end of another season. The new season, Marvel Absolute Doom, is coming, but Epic Games has yet to announce when the servers will be back up and running.

Fortnite Servers Going Down for Marvel-Themed Chapter

Fortnite servers are going offline Thursday night, with another season ending. Here's everything you need to know about the downtime and what to expect from the highly anticipated Marvel Absolute Doom (Chapter 5 Season 4):

Downtime Details:

  • Chapter 5 Season 3 ends Thursday at 10 p.m. CT.
  • Fortnite servers will go offline for maintenance and update to v31.00.
  • "Absolute Doom approaches the Battle Royale Island… menacingly!" Fortnite announced on a certain social media platform. Link
  • Matchmaking will be disabled before the official downtime begins at 11 p.m. ET.
  • Based on previous season releases, servers are expected to be down for about four hours. Polygon
  • Servers should be back up Friday around 2 a.m. CT.

Marvel Absolute Doom:

  • The new season trailer debuted at the Fortnite D23 event on Aug. 10. Trailer Link
  • Marvel-themed weapons and items will be featured, including Black Panther's claws and Captain America's shield.
