Per the Florida Department of Health, the gastroenterologist "improperly delegated tasks to a surgical tech without a medical license" and failed to stop the procedure when the patient was not fully sedated, causing immense pain.

Dr. Prasad did not respond to requests for comment. His license, held since 1990, now hinges on evaluation and supervised procedures. The disciplinary action reflects a system holding doctors accountable and protecting patient welfare.
