A wave of blistering temperatures is expected in the Austin area from Monday through Thursday with heat indexes up to 111 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Austin, Texas — Austinians can expect a scorcher this week with temperatures soaring into the triple digits and heat indexes making it feel like 111 degrees. The National Weather Service warns that heat advisories or excessive heat warnings are likely each day.

  • Sunny, dropping humidity by midday.
