Over the next four days, Democrats will outline their vision for America's future as they nominate their candidates for the highest offices in the land. Chicago braces for protests as delegates flock to the city

An estimated 50,000 people are expected to attend the convention, with possibly tens of thousands of demonstrators. Chicago's 12,000 police officers, the Secret Service, and local leaders say they're ready for any disruptions. Residents, however, are less sure. Fences, barricades, and even snowplows have been used to limit movement in key downtown areas.

Trump plans counterprogramming as Harris surges

As Democrats celebrate their nominees, Trump is preparing a series of anti-Harris events in key battleground states. Trump aides expect Harris to gain in the polls following the convention and are working to counteract her momentum. Trump is expected to campaign every day this week, Monday through Friday.
