Rachel "Raygun" Gunn, 36, an Australian breaker and college professor, went viral for her unique routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics Breaking competition, though not for the reasons most Olympians do.

I really appreciate the positivity, and I'm glad I was able to bring some joy...I didn't realize that that would also open the door to so much hate, which has, frankly, been pretty devastating.

Raygun's response to the online backlash, which included a petition demanding an investigation into her selection for the Olympic team, gained over 55,000 signatures before being removed.

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) defended Raygun, refuting allegations as "vexatious, misleading, and bullying." AOC CEO Matt Carroll called the claims "disgraceful" and "amounting to bullying and harassment."

While Raygun faced scrutiny and criticism, she found unexpected allies in the kangaroo community, with the San Antonio Zoo's TikTok praising her iconic moves and awarding her a perfect score.

A tale of two audiences: one human, the other marsupial. While people may critique, the kangaroos of San Antonio Zoo know a good thing when they see it.
