Bedtime Shenanigans: A Skit

Setting: A typical boys' bedroom with two beds and a large dresser under a window.

Scene 1:

Mother: Good night, boys. (Closes door as she exits room)

3-year-old: (shouting) Let's have a party!

4-year-old: (also shouting) Yes! Let's make a lot of noise and pound on the walls!

The boys proceed to carry out their plan with enthusiasm.

Mother: (Opens door) That's enough. Go to bed.

3-year-old: Ok, Mom. We'll whisper.

Scene 2:

The boys proceed to jump on the beds, make monkey noises, and pound the walls again, despite their promises to whisper.

Mother: (Warns them) Boys! That's enough. Go to bed, or you will be disciplined.

4-year-old: It was him. (points at 3-year-old)

Scene 3:

The boys rush out of their room, pretending to be on fire, and dash to the bathroom, flushing the toilet repeatedly and snacking on toothpaste.

Father: (In living room with Mother) Do they think they’re being quiet?

Mother: I’m sure they do.

Father: (As the boys rush back to their room) Stay in bed, boys.

Scene 4:

3-year-old: (Whispering) Do you think Dad saw us?

4-year-old: No way. We didn't look at him.

The boys then proceed to push items off their dresser and stomp on top of it, creating a loud ruckus.

Mother: (Turns on the light) Get down.

Father: Enters and disciplines the boys.
