Former President Barack Obama is set to speak at the 2024 Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, August 20, as the party rallies behind presidential nominee Kamala Harris (https://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/kamala-harris/) and her running mate, Tim Walz. Obama's speech is expected to fall between 6-10 p.m. CT, during the main programming portion of the evening. The Obamas endorsed the Democratic ticket, praising Walz as an "outstanding governor."

The four-day convention, themed "For the People, For Our Future," is being held in Chicago, with the United Center as its main venue. Day two, featuring Obama, is themed "A Bold Vision for America's Future."
