Prepare for Battle: Texas Hunting & Fishing Season '24-'25 Begins Sept. 1
Lock, load, and let's go! Texas' hunting and fishing season is here, with new rules and dates.
New Rules:
- CWD: New zones in Coleman, Real, and parts of Brown counties.
- Doe Days: Expanded to 43 counties. List.
- Youth Days: Now include Friday for deer, squirrels, and turkeys.
- Wild Turkeys: Mandatory harvest reporting. County-specific updates.
- Light Geese: No Conservation Order. Daily bag limit of 5, possession limit 15.
- Spotted Seatrout: Daily bag limit of 3 (15-20"),Plus bonus tags for >28" trout.More info
Doe Days Explained
"Doe days" are specific days allowing hunters to harvest female antlerless white-tailed deer.
