Powerball Jackpot Reset to $20 Million After California Win

The Powerball jackpot reverted to $20 million on Wednesday after a single ticket sold in California won the $44.3 million jackpot on Monday. This is the second jackpot win this month.

A ticket purchased in California matched all six numbers, securing the jackpot worth $44.3 million with a $21.9 million cash value. This follows a Pennsylvania player winning the $213.8 million jackpot last Monday, making it the seventh win this year.

Currently, the jackpot stands at $20 million with an estimated cash value of $9.9 million post-tax.

The winning numbers were drawn just after 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday, and the results can be found below.

A $2 Powerball ticket can be purchased at local convenience stores, gas stations, or grocery stores. In some states, tickets can be bought online.

To play, choose six numbers. Five are white balls (1-69) and one is the red Powerball (1-26). For an extra $1, a “Power Play” can increase non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.

Players can also opt for a "Quick Pick," where a cashier generates random numbers.

Drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night. If no jackpot winner is announced, the prize increases.
