Beyoncé Launches SirDavis Whiskey Line

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has unveiled her latest venture: a whiskey line named SirDavis.

The superstar announced the brand on Instagram Tuesday, sharing a photo of herself with a glass of the drink and the new bottle, which features a golden horse emblem. She captioned the post with lyrics from her 2024 song "Bodyguard," writing, "Davis in my bones," and included the SirDavis website.

SirDavis is an American whiskey founded by Beyoncé and crafted in partnership with Moët Hennessy and master distiller Bill Lumsden. The official site describes the liquor as a blend of rye and malted barley, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, offering a harmony of spice and fruit. The brand boasts multiple awards received in 2023.

Honoring Her Great-Grandfather and Son

SirDavis is named after Beyoncé's great-grandfather, Davis, and is also a nod to her son, Sir. In a press release, Beyoncé shared her inspiration:

"I've always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling," she said. "When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy."

A letter to her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, is featured on the website. She writes, "I feel you in the landscapes. Your laughter rolling in the rye. [...] For you, I raise my glass to legacy."

The site also offers specialty cocktail recipes like the Honey Bee, Texas Buckin', Houston, and Davis Old Fashion.
