Austin's Pool Options to Beat the Heat
After consecutive days of record-breaking heat, Austinites are seeking relief. While the city’s free seasonal pools have closed due to lifeguards returning to school, there are still several options available. The city keeps five pools open year-round, with another three set to stay open until the end of September, according to Parks and Recreation Department spokesperson Kanya Lyons.
Among the year-round pools, only Big Stacy is free. Other pools will charge entry fees until Halloween. Here are several options to keep cool during the remaining hot weeks.
