Harry Potter Experience Coming to Austin

Texans, prepare your brooms and spell books. An immersive Harry Potter experience is arriving in Austin this fall.

Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience will debut in Austin, brought by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Fever. The attraction will open at McKinney Roughs Nature Park on Nov. 9th.

The nighttime trail will bring iconic forest scenes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films to life. Visitors can expect to see magical creatures like Unicorns, Nifflers, and Hippogriffs. The interactive experience also allows guests to cast spells and summon a Patronus.

Alongside the trail, there will be a themed village offering curated food and beverages, plus a retail shop.

Ticket Details

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29th. Prices start at $41 for adults and $28 for children. Children under 2 get free entry. Sign up for the waitlist for early access.

The experience will operate daily from 5:45 to 11:45 p.m., with the last entry at 10:15 p.m. The trail takes 45 to 75 minutes, with the total experience lasting 60 to 90 minutes.
