Missing Persons Investigation Opened for Former MLB Player's Daughter

The Austin Police Department has launched a missing persons investigation into the disappearance of Brenna Swindell, the 29-year-old daughter of former Major League Baseball player Greg Swindell.

Brenna, a mother of three, has been missing since Thursday, according to her mother, Sarah Swindell, in a Facebook post. The disappearance is described as uncharacteristic, as Brenna would "never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation."

Brenna and her former boyfriend were last seen together Thursday evening. Law enforcement tracked her white Kia Carnival to Colorado by Friday evening. Sarah Swindell noted that her daughter's ex-boyfriend has a history of violence and abusive behavior.

A flyer shared by Missing People in America indicates possible sightings of Brenna's ex-boyfriend and her van in Colorado Springs. Both Brenna's and her former boyfriend's phones appear to be in Colorado but are turned off.

Brenna Swindell is 5-foot-5, about 120 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair. She has a sleeve tattoo with flowers on one arm and a spider web on the other shoulder.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Austin Police Department's Missing Person Unit at 512-974-5250. If you live outside of Austin, please call 512-974-5000.
