More than 1.1 Million Removed from Texas Voter Rolls Since 2021

Since 2021, Texas state officials have removed over 1.1 million people from voter rolls, including 6,500 flagged as “potential noncitizens.”

Given these changes, it’s crucial for Texans to verify their voter registration status ahead of the upcoming election.

How to Check Voter Registration

Voter rolls are updated regularly. If your status has changed, you haven't voted in two general elections, and you haven't responded to flyers verifying your address, you might have been removed.

Several organizations, like Rock the Vote, provide services to check voter registration.

You can also verify your voter registration status on the Texas Secretary of State’s website. Submit the form to see your voter status, address, county, voter ID number, political party, and your voter status. "Active" means you are eligible to vote.
