The 2024 Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off on Friday, and attendees are hoping for ideal weather conditions. Central Texas has been warm so far this fall, but what's in store for the festival weekend?

Austin Weather Forecast for ACL Fest 2024

• Friday, Oct. 4: The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high of around 94 degrees. There's a small chance of showers or storms starting Friday and into the weekend. In the evening, temperatures will cool down to a comfortable 70 degrees under clear skies.
• Saturday, Oct. 5: Sunny, with a high near 93 degrees. Expect a calm wind from the northeast at around 5 mph in the afternoon. At night, it's mostly clear, with a low around 70 degrees and calm wind.
• Sunday, Oct. 6: Sunny, with a high near 93 degrees. A calm wind will shift to the northeast at about 5 mph in the afternoon, with gusts potentially reaching up to 20 mph. The evening will be mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 69 degrees.

Hydration Tips for ACL Fest 2024

Bringing a reusable water bottle is a must. October in Austin is still hot and sweaty, and shade in the park is limited. Water stations are available throughout the festival grounds for refills. Ensure your water bottle is empty at entry. Hydration packs, like CamelBaks, are allowed but must be empty of all liquid before entering the park.

Pro-tip: Hydration/electrolyte packets in factory-sealed single-serving packages are allowed and are highly recommended for hot days.
