IndyCar Racing Coming to Arlington in 2026

Arlington, already home to the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and a prospective World Cup host in 2026, has added another major sporting event to its roster: IndyCar racing.

According to IndyCar, a 2.73-mile street course race will be constructed around AT&T Stadium, incorporating two renowned sporting venues: the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium and the Texas Rangers' Globe Life Field. The track will weave through the heart of Arlington’s sports and entertainment district.

IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington in 2026

The inaugural Arlington Grand Prix is scheduled for March 2026. The event is being organized in partnership by Penske Entertainment, The Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment, the official events partner of the Texas Rangers.

Neil Leibman, Texas Rangers chief operating officer, highlighted the novelty of the event. "This event will set a new standard for the Arlington Entertainment District, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to experience what Arlington has to offer,” he said.

Last IndyCar Race in Texas

According to IndyStar, the last IndyCar race in Texas was held in 2023 at Texas Motor Speedway. However, the series could not agree on dates or finances due to waning fan attendance, with recent races failing to attract 10,000 spectators.
