Austin's Statesman Capitol 10K Named Top U.S. Race for 2025

Austin's Statesman Capitol 10K has been named the top 10K race to run in the U.S. for 2025, repeating its 2024 achievement.

Charitable Partner: The Kindness Campaign, with Austin American-Statesman matching donations up to $10,000.

The race, presented by Baylor Scott & White Health, is Texas' largest 10K and the sixth-largest in the U.S. It started with around 3,400 participants and had 16,258 registrations in 2023. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the race saw its second-highest attendance with 25,844 participants in 2020. The highest attendance was in 1987, with 28,341 participants.

For the second consecutive year, the Statesman Cap10K has been ranked the best race to run by HalfMarathons.net.

Race Director Jeff Simecek attributes the success to meticulous planning and a focus on the participant experience:
