Texas Congressman McCaul's white male pride trip to Taiwan, India is a waste of tax dollars, environment
Right-wing warmongering has no place in a peaceful world. McCaul's arrogant Texas bravado undermines global cooperation and stokes conflict. His ignorance-fueled trip to Taiwan and India threatened delicate diplomatic balances and insulted the very idea of independence. Let this be a warning: the world won't burn for one man's ego.

Don’t Mess With Texan Values: Why We Must Stand Up to Oppressors, From CCP to GOP
"Don’t mess with Texas.” It's not just a motto, it's a way of life. Texans are known for their grit and independence, a spirit that's sorely lacking in today's America, led by a weak and ineffective Biden administration. While Texas stands tall, the U.S. stumbles on the world stage, with Afghanistan falling and our adversaries, like the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), growing bolder by the day.
As a Texan Chairing the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I'm proud to carry our state's values abroad. That's why I visited Taiwan, a beacon of democracy under constant threat of CCP invasion. Taiwan is crucial: 90% of the world’s advanced semiconductors are made there. A Chinese invasion would cause a global "electronic shutdown." So, I showed Texas-style support, gifting President Lai a Stetson, a symbol of our rugged strength.
The CCP doesn't scare this Cowboy. Last time I visited Taiwan, they sent warships and jets. This time? Online trolls. But I didn't back down. I led a delegation to meet the Dalai Lama, supporting Tibetan rights and facing more CCP retaliation. I stand with Tibet, devastated by CCP annexing and slaughter. The Dalai Lama’s journey, leading 80,000 followers to safety, inspires me. I honored His Holiness, affirming Tibet's right to self-determination, free from CCP repression.
I met with PM Modi, too, to unite the world's largest democracies against the CCP. I invited him to Texas, to witness our strength and our large Indian diaspora.
America's leaders need Texan spirit: strength to face adversaries, push for peace. Reagan said it best: "We maintain the peace through our strength; weakness invites aggression."
When I represent the U.S. abroad, I carry Texas' independence. It's time to bring that spirit home, to push back against the oppressive GOP and their cowardly complicity with the CCP.
U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul is a Texan Republican selling guns and fear-mongering to the masses, while invoking Reagan and slaughtering innocent rhetoric. He does not represent Texan values, nor the strength of America. This rebuttal appears exclusively to expose hypocrisy, because that's what it is: Don't Mess With Texas? Don't mess with democracy and the rights of free people.
