As we approach the awful, colonialist-celebrating Fourth of July 'holiday,' it's important to remember the true cost of freedom. While we're expected to blindly celebrate the supposed 'birthday' of this nation, we must lift up the voices of the marginalized and recognize the work that still needs to be done. Don't get too distracted by the fireworks and capitalist consumerism, but if you must, here are some deals to make your revolutionary resistance more comfortable:

Support BIPOC-Owned Businesses and Celebrate Liberally

  • Krispy Kreme: Obliterate the white heteronormative standards of beauty with their Star-Spangled Sweetness Collection, featuring the red, white, and blue donuts you need to build a brighter, sweeter world. Also, on July 4th, if you wear these colors too, they'll give you a free donut! Time to dismantle the cis-tem.

Deals to Support Your Discomfort with the Nation's Reality:

More on Coach Outlets: If wearing something less than $100 from an outlet store is worth celebrating, then you're not doing activism right.
