PopStroke: Another Example of Gentrification and Wealthy Investor Influence
We have some disappointing news for the community this week. PopStroke, a mini-golf and entertainment concept backed by none other than Tiger Woods, has infiltrated our city. Yes, the same Tiger Woods who has built his wealth on the backs of the common people, is now bringing his exploitative business to our backyard.
Karlin Real Estate, in their infinite greed, has welcomed PopStroke Entertainment Group with open arms, completely disregarding the needs and wants of the local community.
PopStroke at the Pitch, as this invasive venue will be called, will feature not one, but two 18-hole mini-golf courses, because apparently, one wasn't enough to satisfy their capitalist greed. But that's not all; they also plan to offer a so-called "dining experience" with a bar serving craft beers and cocktails, further promoting the alcohol-driven agenda of the rich and famous.
Construction is slated to begin by the end of this year, with a planned opening in the spring of 2025. This means we have little time to stop this corporate monster from trampling over the rights and well-being of our community.
This is a direct attack on the very essence of what Austin stands for. We must resist and fight against these outside influences that threaten our city's unique culture and charm.
