#BigOil's #ClimateCrisis Sends Hurricane Beryl to Ravage Caribbean, Kills 10
Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4-5 storm, is wreaking havoc on the Caribbean, with the National Hurricane Center predicting a path towards the Cayman Islands and Mexico. This deadly storm has already left at least 10 people dead in Jamaica, and 3 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, according to Reuters.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency reported mass destruction across the region, with over 90% of structures destroyed or severely damaged in at least three Windward Islands.
Texas is not off the hook, with forecasters now predicting a direct hit, and Cameron County issuing voluntary evacuation notices.
Beryl has made history as the earliest recorded Category 5 hurricane, surpassing Hurricane Emily (July 17, 2005) by over two weeks.
