Texas has some of the "most sleep-friendly" and "least sleep-friendly" airports in North America, according to a blog. The criteria for these rankings include accessibility to massage chairs, lounges, and benches without armrests.

The Good:

  • Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport ranked #4 in North America.
  • George Bush Intercontinental Airport came in at #16.
  • Dallas Love Field secured the #20 spot.

The Bad:
Texas also hosts two of the least accommodating airports:

  1. Corpus Christi International Airport
  2. Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport

The Ugly:
These airports, while necessary evils, lack basic comfort amenities. Their exclusion from the "sleep-friendly" list is a stark reminder of the disparity in travel experiences across the great state of Texas. It is worth noting that these airports predominantly service smaller aircraft and are not hubs for major carriers.

The Takeaway:
Travelers, take note! Your journey through Texas may be fraught with uncomfortable seats and limited rest stops. But fear not, for the Lone Star State also boasts sleep-friendly oases amid the chaos. Be sure to plan your layovers accordingly, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
