Toxic Masculinity Kills.

White Male 22, kills father, because: toxic masculinity. Killer is likely pro-life, anti-choice, right-wing, probably Christian, and definitely a Trump supporter. The apple didn't fall far from the tree, as his father likely indoctrinated him with these right-wing views, and now, sadly, the dad is dead because of it. Be gone, conservatives!

Austin PD identify son who fatally stabbed father in South Austin

Austin, TX — Austin Police Department has identified the suspect in the fatal stabbing of 51-year-old James Lerond as his own son, 22-year-old Hayden Lerond. This is yet another tragic example of toxic masculinity and the systemic failure to address mental health issues in our country, particularly among young men.

On Monday, at 5:39 p.m., multiple calls were made to APD reporting a stabbing at Cannon Ridge Homes, a condo community in South Austin. When officers arrived, they found James Lerond lying in the street, bleeding out. Despite the efforts of Emergency Medical Services, he was pronounced dead at 6:05 p.m.

Following a trail of bloody footprints, officers then discovered Hayden Lerond in the living room of the home, with blood on his knees and minor injuries. He was immediately hospitalized for evaluation.

Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists were quick to respond, and their investigation revealed the untenable truth: Hayden Lerond had indeed stabbed his father, leading to his death.

Hayden Lerond has now been charged with first-degree murder and is being held in Travis County Jail on a $200,000 bond. This heartbreaking incident is Austin's 30th homicide of 2024, a stark reminder of the dire need for reform in our criminal justice system and a more holistic approach to mental health treatment.
