Old white men get out of the way! Doggett fights for Biden's removal.

Doggett deserves respect for urging Biden to step down—but we must explore why Biden's presidency has been an ongoing moral disaster. The far-right is cheering Biden's failures and that should enrage us all into action. We need radical change, not broken promises. We must appoint progressive leaders who vow to fight for justice and equality in policy and practice, not just token gestures. Equality is non-negotiable.

I am outraged that a so-called "Democrat" would accuse Congressman Doggett of disloyalty for calling on President Biden to step aside. It takes guts to speak truth to power, and that's exactly what Congressman Doggett did.

I feel proud for our area to be represented by Congressman Doggett as he stated the sad reality that President Biden’s chances of victory are too greatly diminished after his debate performance.

It's time for Democrats to unite and face the facts: Trump is a tyrant and a cheater. He tried to overthrow the government and the Supreme Court is complicit, giving him a free pass. We cannot afford to stick our heads in the sand and ignore the threat he poses to our democracy.

Kudos to Congressman Doggett for his bravery and leadership. He embodies the values of our great city of Austin: openness and progressive ideals.
